Parks is proud to highlight one of our excellent agents from our Green Hills office, Pamela Elcan!

“Pamela has a high level of energy and passion when it comes to representing her clients. She works hard to build relationships based on trust and nurtures them for the long haul,” said Parks in Green Hills Managing Broker, Hagan Stone.

Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Lipscomb University. Prior to real estate, she dedicated 15 years of her career to the finance industry at Merrill Lynch, UBS, and Wells Fargo Advisors. Pamela’s background in the investment securities market enhances her ability to guide her clients through the real estate market. She works with a lot of real estate investors, but for most of us, our home is our largest investment. “Warren Buffet says to invest in something you understand. Most of us understand a house,” Pamela stated.

Why did Pamela choose to become a real estate agent? To put it simply, she loves it. “This is a demanding, 'all-consuming’ business where there are no limits on what one can achieve for those willing to do the hard work. There are a million ‘wins’ tied into every transaction. I built my business on positioning my clients to win. When they win, I win. Who wouldn't love that?” she said.

When asked why she chose to join the Parks Family of REALTORS®, Pamela stated, “Bob built a great brand. It's great not because we say it's great, but because of what others say.” She continued, “There are good agents in a lot of different brokerages in Nashville. When clients or agents know they will be working with one of us, they know they will be working with a professional. In a relationship-based business, your reputation sets the tone for the transaction.”

If Pamela could offer a tip to new agents, it would be that there is no replacement for hard work. “Every client deserves the best you have to give. If you aren't 100% confident in the value you bring to the table, circle back to hard work.”

Pamela has had many professional accomplishments during her time in the real estate industry. When asked to name her personal favorites, she stated, “I could list my resume and revenue… transaction data and designations are absolutely important because they demonstrate competence. That said, what I am most proud of is my repeat and referral-based business. In a robust market, plenty of agents have the opportunity to close a deal. What speaks more loudly is those who choose to work with you again and again.”

Pamela grew up in a small town outside of Nashville where her grandfather had a farm. She still has a green thumb to this day and a love for flowers. Pamela has had the love and support of her husband for eight years. She is the stepmom to three amazing humans who constantly find new ways to make her proud. In her spare time, she enjoys concerts at the Ryman, being on the water, and taking her golden doodles on field trips. Musically, she likes everything from Snoop to Rolling Stones, but old school George Strait will always have a playlist on her phone. Faith wise, Pamela has always been a Christian, but she converted to Catholicism about 6 years ago. “We don't have to think exactly the same way to be friends. It's the differences that make the most beautiful mosaics,” she said.
